Pastor Clarence Wm. Dow accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life and was baptized in August 1977 at Mt. Jezrell Baptist Church (MJBC), Silver Spring, Maryland (formerly of 5th and E Streets, Southeast, Washington, DC). He was licensed September 5, 1993 and ordained July 14, 1996, under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Harold E. Trammel. While at MJBC, he served on the Banking Committee, Trustee Board, as Lay Pastor of the Sick & Shut-In Ministry, and Youth Sunday School Teacher. He sang on several church choirs in addition to the Jubilee Majestic Concert Choir. He was a member of MJBC for 24 years.

Pastor Dow organized and served as Pastor of Glory of Zion Christian Center, (GOZCC), Oxon Hill, MD, 2001-2006, At GOZCC he was committed to carrying forth the message of “the seed of greatness,” (Matthew 28:19-20) the Gospel of Jesus the Christ.

Pastor Dow united with the St. Stephen Baptist Church, (SSBC) Temple Hills, Maryland, April 2007, under the leadership of Bishop Lanier C. Twyman, Sr., Senior Pastor. He served as Director, Men’s Ministry, Overseer, Henson Creek Assisted Living Ministry, and Director, Project Bright Future Mentoring Program in two SSBC community schools, Allenwood Elementary and Thurgood Marshall Middle School. He, and other members of the mentoring program, was awarded the Board of Education of Prince George’s County Public Schools, Certificate of Recognition, “In appreciation of your commitment and extraordinary work on behalf of students in Prince George’s County Public Schools¸ 24th day of June 2010.

Pastor Dow holds a Certificate of Theological Studies, Graduate School of Theological Studies, Yale University, 2012 and Graduate School of Theological Studies, Campus of Harvard University, 2011, M.S. Degree in Religious Education, Washington Saturday College, Howard University Campus, 2001. He has attended the Hampton University Ministers Conference for the past 15 years, and to recent Full Gospel International Conferences, School of Elders. He is an ongoing student of the SSBC Ministerial Alliance School of Ministry. His certifications include the Evangelic Training Association (ETA) Teacher, and Life Coach, with Genesis International Consulting Firm. Pastor Dow is a Vietnam Veteran and served in the US Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He is a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service.
