Matthew 23:26 … cleanse first that which is within the cup platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

There is much more to come as God’s people grow in the Lord and in health. Stay healthy!!!

What is this program? This is a health program designed for the body of Christ to grow in health, while learning about them, working together, and meeting goals and desires while having fun.

What do I do?
First, teams will be developed during the initial meeting. Within the teams, you will devise goals that you have for yourself and the goals of the team. The goals may include, desires for weight loss, a healthier way of eating, exercising more, or anything else that you may want to change in your life concerning your health.
Second, each team will come up with a name, and a date each week where the members will meet by phone or in person to discuss their goals, exercise, pray, or anything else that will help them meet the team’s goals. A list will also be provided for the Body and Soul team.

Third, the team will pick a captain. The captain is in charge of keeping in contact with one of the team members of Body and Soul. The captain will provide updates to the team member; discuss concerns, and any topics that the teams may want to be discussed during the next meeting.

Fourth, from the goals that each team made, the team will come up with a workable plan that will help the team meet their goals. Ex. Team 1- for the first week, we will not eat any sweets. Throughout the program, we will exercise three times a week, pray on Wednesday evenings, and keep each other encouraged about eating healthy. We will also bring our lunch at least 4 times a week.

Fifth, each individual in the teams will keep a journal that will keep track of what they are eating, their feelings, etc.

Sixth, as a group, it will be decided if there will be a corporate fast, or a fast within the teams. The length and times will be discussed.

Seventh, a general exercise program will be set for all teams, the times and days can be changed to fit the teams needs.

Eighth, a recorder for each group will be nominated to keep track of all that is going on with the team, and keep a log of the goals that are kept etc. The recorder will then keep in contact with the captain to ensure all of the information is accurate to report to the Body and Soul Team.

How long is this program going to last?
Let’s set the program for three months. At the end of the first three months, a prize will be rendered for the team that met the most goals. There will also be a celebration for everyone involved. If the groups want to continue with the program, it can be extended.
